All diving equipments are carried by the diver, independent of any
support or supply of oxygen from elsewhere. The diver propels
underwater with the use of fins or flippers attached to the feet. The
word ?SCUBA? is actually an acronym for ?Self Contained Underwater

Press the instrument out of the rubber block from the back. It will be very
difficult because of dried salt and other grot, but it will come out. Don't
be tempted to prise it out with a knife or screwdriver unless you are
    prepared to wreck the console.

I want to make a couple of quick fitting straps for my scuba kit.
To do this need to get hold of the 1" wide nylon (polypropylene ?)
webbing strap, and 1" fastex buckles.
Does anybody know a source for the webbing (strap) and fastex

I would not use toothpaste .. that is an abrasive and scratches teh

There is a company in UK that makes a new mask Preparation product ...
a couple of drops removes all traces of silicon mould release (which
is what causes much of fogging)

Four dive couples have decided to call it a day on the diving front and have
lots of their personal gear for sale. In addition they have ceased to run a
kids swimming club and have the dive masks, fins and snorkels for sale (38
sets at time of writing!) which would be ideal for a similar venture.

When new I'd agree but after a few years I am not so sure. I reckon

Certainly making sure the mask is clean solves the problem and it
doesn't need toothpaste etc unless new.
